Water is a limited resource, even here in New England.  The more we use, the greater the amount of wastewater that is produced and the higher our water bills are.  The average SCWA customer uses 200 gallons of water per day.  A small portion is for drinking and cooking with the remaining amount used to transport waste and for outside use.  To determine how much water your family actually uses, read the meter for several days at the same time every day; to find the daily water use, add the readings and divide by the number of days read.  There are many ways you and your family can work to conserve this precious resource.
